We now offer significantly more performance with the Advanced and Premium plans and a major upgrade: the High Performance Backend (HPB) for Nextcloud Talk. This enables smooth, scalable video and audio calls directly in your Nextcloud instance.
What is Nextcloud and why is it so versatile?
Nextcloud is more than just a cloud for files. As an open-source platform, it offers a comprehensive, networked working environment that you control completely, without vendor lock-in or dependence on large tech companies.
With Nextcloud you can:
- Synchronize & share files – secure, versioned and with fine-grained permissions
- Real-time collaboration – work together on documents, spreadsheets and presentations (Nextcloud Office)
- Manage calendars, contacts & emails centrally and synchronize with teams
- Hold video calls & meetings via Nextcloud Talk – now with HPB for stable connections even with many participants
- Expand the ecosystem – over 200 apps for project management, CRM, form creation, AI features, whiteboards and more
What is changing
- Advanced Plan: Now with 1 TB storage and integrated high-performance backend
- Premium Plan: Also receives the HPB for optimized Talk performance
- Existing customers: The HPB is retrofitted automatically and free of charge

All plans are operated on our modern Kubernetes platform, guarantee maximum reliability thanks to triple replicated storage and are of course GDPR-compliant and hosted on servers in Germany.

Infrastructure you can rely on
Compared to low-cost VPS providers, we focus on enterprise standard:
- 3-fold replicated storage: Your data is automatically distributed across three independent nodes. No single point of failure.
- Modern Kubernetes platform: automatic failover, self-healing and horizontal scaling.
- GDPR: Data sovereignty remains with you. No disclosure to third parties, transparent processing.
- Managed & easy to maintain: We take care of updates, patches and security monitoring for you.
- No artificial user limits: Nextcloud itself does not limit the number of accounts. However, we fairly allocate resources (CPU, RAM) to a recommended user size per plan. You can create as many accounts as you need at any time. If your team grows beyond the recommendation, performance may drop. However, you can easily switch to a larger plan to retain full flexibility without performance suffering.
What does that mean for you?
- Existing customers: Simply log in to the customer portal and select your Nextcloud app. Navigate to Settings and then click on “Save Domain Settings”. The HPB will be activated automatically. No action required, no price increase.
- New customers: Start now with the Advanced plan (1 TB + HPB) for €49.99/month or choose the Premium plan with 2 TB storage.
- Upgrade at any time: You can upgrade your plan at any time – without data loss and with immediate activation.
- Note for Nextcloud Legacy customers: The new features and prices only apply to our updated plans for the time being. Would you like to switch to our modern infrastructure to benefit from HPB and improved performance? Our support team will be happy to assist you with a migration.
