What is the NWS Kubernetes Playground?
The Kubernetes Playground offers a unique, hands-on learning experience in a full-featured, free environment running on NWS Kubernetes.
Each Playground comes with workshop-style instructions that guide you through small, bite-sized topics that are perfect for learning in between – whenever you have a few minutes to spare.
Most playgrounds contain interactive tasks and quizzes to test your knowledge and consolidate what you have learned.

For the launch, we are offering three playgrounds on our platform that deal with the basics of Kubernetes:
- Working with pods: This playground will teach you everything you need to know about pods, from creation to troubleshooting. You will gain your first experience of working with pods and how they work in Kubernetes environments.
- Working with deployments: Learn how to use deployments to manage and scale your Kubernetes workloads. This playground covers the basics of working with deployments on Kubernetes.
- Kubernetes Sandbox: Experiment completely freely with Kubernetes in this environment. This playground introduces specific features and peculiarities of NWS Managed Kubernetes (e.g. storage classes) and lets you experiment freely with Kubernetes.
