Log in as an administrator, click on your user name in the top right-hand corner and then select Users. To add a group, click on + Add group in the left column and enter a name. To create a new user, simply enter the username and password in the fields above, select a group to which this user should belong and click on Create.

Files are uploaded via the web interface using the File app. There is a button with a "+" symbol above the list of your files. Click on it and select Upload. Then select the files you want to open and click on "Open". To create a folder, click on the button with the "+" symbol again and select Folder. Now enter the desired folder name and click on Enter.

To do this, you must activate the File Access Control application. Select Apps in your application menu and navigate to the Not activated section. Now activate File Access Control. In your admin panel, you will find the File Access Control section.

This happens because your data is uploaded to the S3 storage in the background. However, it can take a while, depending on how much data you upload. However, Nextcloud itself cannot calculate how long it will take.

To connect to your Nextcloud server via WebDAV, you may need a WebDAV client for your PC/Mac. Many operating systems already have WebDAV capability built in. Nevertheless, you can use your favorite online search engine to find a suitable WebDAV solution for your system. To connect via WebDAV, you need the WebDAV link of your Nextcloud server. Open the Files application in the Nextcloud web interface and select Settings at the bottom left. Copy the link shown below and change https:// to davs:// if it does not work immediately. When prompted, enter your username and password.

Your data is backed up every day, creating a snapshot of the system and an additional backup of the volume.

The update/upgrade process is carried out by us at NWS as soon as the new Nextcloud version has been tested. We announce update periods by email. Your Nextcloud server will then be updated during a restart, which should not take longer than a few minutes.

To delete a file or several folders at once, move the cursor over the file name and click on the checkbox next to the thumbnail of the file. Then select Delete on the right-hand side. The files will be moved to the recycle bin. To delete files permanently, you must empty the recycle bin. To do this, click on Deleted files at the bottom left, select the files you want to permanently remove from your Nextcloud again by selecting the checkboxes and clicking on Delete.
