FAQ
What audience is Mattermost suitable for?
Mattermost can be used by anyone who wants to chat: whether it’s companies, departments, administrations, support groups, etc…
Who can I contact in case of a problem?
You can get help at nws@netways.de and in the LiveChat at the bottom right. For general questions regarding the settings, we recommend the forum and the documentation of Mattermost.
How do I add users to Mattermost?
First you have to log in as admin user, open the dropdown bar and select Invite people. You can share the link that appears now with the person you want to invite.
Why is there another admin account on my Mattermost server?
This admin account is from NWS. Its only purpose is to monitor the user limit.
What do I need to consider for voice and video calls in Mattermost?
You need a compatible camera and microphone. Also note that Safari and Firefox are currently not supported. So use the latest Chrome or Edge version instead.
Log in as an administrator, open the dropdown menu and go to the plugin marketplace. Search for Jitsi and install it.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes! Just log in to the NWS portal, add your domain and choose Let’s Encrypt or add your own certificate.
How can I cancel Mattermost?
Cancellation of the app is possible in the contract overview under Manage Contract either monthly or annually.
